On December 29, 2016, DePuy Syntes recalled its Radial Head Prothesis System. The entire product was removed from the market. The FDA advised that the radial stem could loosen after the surgery at the stem-bone interface. The FDA estimates that more than 50,000 of these devices were distributed.
